Terms and Conditions

 

  1. Introduction

Welcome to Quebec City Comiccon (the “Event”). By purchasing a ticket and attending the Event, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These terms are subject to change at any time without notice.

Words like ‘holder’, ‘bearer’, and ‘purchaser’ will refer to you – the person who will buy the tickets to Quebec City Comiccon. Conversely, ‘our’, ‘us’, ‘we’, ‘issuer’, ‘provider’, ‘Comiccon’, and similar terms will indicate the organizers of Quebec City Comiccon, i.e. Capeflow Productions Inc.

 

  1. Tickets
  • All ticket prices are listed in Canadian dollars.
  • All ticket sales are deemed as FINAL TRANSACTIONS. There will be no ticket returns, exchanges or cancellations.
  • Each ticket admits one person, including those tickets that are valid for three days.
  • Ticket prices are correct at the time of publication. Capeflow Productions Inc. reserves the right to change the prices at any time, but changes will not affect registrations which have already been confirmed by Capeflow Productions Inc.
  • Lost, stolen, or damaged tickets will not be replaced.
  • Tickets delivered to you are not meant to be used for illegal reselling, copying, reproducing, or misrepresenting in any form. You cannot use the ticket(s) for any promotional/advertising purposes either (including sweepstakes and competitions) without our prior approval. Any proven record of such activities will result in immediate seizure and cancellation of your ticket(s).
  • Tickets can be given to anyone for redemption, regardless of the name appearing on the ticket. However, you can only give one (1) unique ticket per person. Should a duplicate ticket arrive at the event, the ticketholder will be refused entry.
  • Kindly note that Tix123 is the sole authorized source for purchasing Quebec City Comiccon tickets. If you obtain your ticket(s) from any other unauthorized source, you take on the risks of those tickets turning out to be counterfeit or reported to be stolen. The issuer has the right to dishonour such stolen/counterfeit tickets and declare them as void.
  1. Event Entry
  • On entry, your eTicket will be replaced by a wristband, and/or a badge. The eTicket can be printed or presented on a mobile device by showing the QR code.
  • Wristbands must not be tampered or removed and must be worn and visible for the duration of the convention, including those valid for three days. Lost or removed wristbands will not be replaced, and entry will be denied without a valid wristband.
  • Badges and wristbands can only be used by a single person. It cannot be transferred between multiple persons. The badge must be worn and visible for the duration of the convention.
  • Entry to the event is subject to security checks.
  • No weapons, illegal substances, or items deemed dangerous by security personnel are allowed.
  • Attendees must follow all instructions from event staff.

 

  1. Special Events

A special event is a one-time or limited event outside normal programmes or activities available at Quebec City Comiccon. These can be, but are not limited to, concerts, musicals, cast reunions, intimate sessions with creators, master classes, training sessions, or meet-and-greets.

  • To attend Special Events, a ticket to that specific special event is required.
  • Admission to the Quebec City Comiccon for the same day as the Special Event of your choosing is required to redeem your Special Event ticket, unless otherwise noted.
  • Everyone attending a specially ticketed experience will require their own ticket, unless otherwise noted.
  • For age-restricted events, children will not be allowed to attend.
  • Should the Special Event get cancelled, ticket holders will be notified and refunded the face value/printed value of the Special Event ticket. The bearer cannot, under any circumstances, claim refunds on shipping fees, processing fees, handling fees, and such other charges. Please note that Quebec City Comicconentry tickets are deemed as FINAL TRANSACTIONS, and there will be no ticket returns, exchanges or cancellations.

 

  1. Merchandise
  • Merchandise available at Quebec City Comiccon, be they from retailers, artists, guests, partners, food vendors, or the Comiccon store, are not included with the price of admission and must be purchased separately. Deluxe and VIP ticket holders will only receive the items that are described on their entry ticket.
  • Guests are considered independent contractors. Their autographs are not included in the price of admission or the purchase of a photo op.
  • Photo Ops with media guests are not included in the price of admission or the purchase of autographs.
  • Table photos (“selfies’) with guests are not included with the price of admission or the purchase of an autograph.

 

  1. Behaviour
  • Respectful behaviour towards other attendees, staff, and guests is mandatory.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Attendees violating this policy may be removed from the event without a refund.
  • Solicitation, sales and marketing of services can only be done inside a booth space inside the exhibition hall.

 

  1. Costumes and Props
  • Footwear is required (do not come barefoot).
  • Costumes that are deemed to be indecently revealing (the “No costume is not a costume” principle), as well as costumes or props that are deemed to be offensive, disrespectful, designed to shock or otherwise considered unacceptable by Comiccon standards are prohibited. An attendee who is wearing a costume or carrying a prop that does not meet these requirements may be asked to change.
  • Capeflow Productions Inc. is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all persons attending the convention. Any items that Comiccon believes may be a prop and/or weapon must be immediately taken to Prop Check for examination. Props that Comiccon determines as admissible will be marked with an identifying tag and may be brought into the convention. Any props that Comicconconsiders to be inadmissible must be stored at Prop Check or immediately removed from the convention. Any prohibited (illegal) props/weapons must be removed from the convention. The decision of the Prop Master, or their designate, is final and will be strictly enforced to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.

 

  1. Photography and Videography
  • By entering the convention center and its surrounding areas, and by your presence at Quebec City Comiccon, you understand and consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded. Your entry constitutes your consent to such photography, filming and/or recording and to any use, in all media throughout the universe in perpetuity, of your appearance, voice and name for any purpose whatsoever in connection with any production taking place within the convention.
  • When photographing or filming individuals or small groups, please ask the convention attendee(s) for their consent before capturing their image.
  • When photographing or recording minors, please ask a parent, guardian, or chaperone for permission and let them know where the photo will be located.
  • Flash photography is not permitted inside the event rooms.
  • Tripods, light boxes, your own back drops, or other photography equipment that requires floor space cannot be used.
  • Do not obstruct the flow of traffic, be it in doorways, escalators, stairs, aisles, or hallways.
  • Photography and recordings are strictly forbidden inside the Photo Ops Booth and the Autograph Area. Some exceptions may exist for guests that sell table photos (‘selfies’) or recordings at their signing table for a fee.
  • Photography and recordings may not be permitted during workshops, panels, and guest sessions and in the Artist Alley at the discretion of the host(s)/artists involved. If you are unsure whether photography or videography are allowed during a particular event or in a particular area, ask permission from Quebec City Comiccon staff first.
  • Photography of merchandise in the Dealers’ Area is prohibited, unless you’ve obtained consent from the vendor.
  • The convention reserves the right to prohibit photography and/or videotaping of any event or area.
  • Quebec City Comiccon staff may ask to review and/or demand deletion of any unauthorized photographs or video recordings.

 

  1. Limitation of Liability
  • To the fullest extent permitted by the applicable law, Capeflow Productions Inc. excludes: (a) all liability for loss, injury or damage to persons or property at the Event; (b) all indemnities, warranties, representations (whether express or implied); and (c) any actual or alleged indirect loss or consequential loss, any loss of profits, anticipated profits, savings, loss of business revenue, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or any other type of economic loss, suffered by you howsoever arising. If Capeflow Productions Inc. is liable to you for any reason, Capeflow Productions Inc.’ total liability to you in relation to the Event (whether under these terms or conditions or otherwise) is limited to the amount of your fees received by Capeflow Productions Inc.

 

  1. Changes or Cancellation of the Event
  • Capeflow Productions Inc. reserves the right to make changes to the event schedule, guests, and programming without prior notice.
  • If Quebec City Comiccon is cancelled due to any factors or causes not in the control of the issuer, the latter will offer a partial or full refund, or postpone the event, or provide a comparable ‘make good’ option. These factors will be inclusive of, but not limited to, natural disasters, federal/provincial announcements, strikes, delays in production, health crisis and the like. The decision of Capeflow Productions Inc. will be considered final.
  • If Quebec City Comiccon must be rescheduled to other dates, you will not be eligible for any refunds. In case the event is fully canceled, the refund, if issued, will include ONLY the face value/printed value of the ticket(s). The bearer cannot, under any circumstances, claim refunds on shipping fees, processing fees, handling fees, and such other charges.
  • Losses, if any, occurring due to foreign exchange fluctuations at the time of refunds, must be borne by the purchaser. Capeflow Productions Inc. cannot be, in any way, held liable for that.

 

  1. Governing Law
  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada.

 

DISCLAIMER FOR ACTIVITIES

You should consider carefully whether or not you will be able to participate in any activities offered as part of a programme relating to the Event. Capeflow Productions Inc. warns that some activities may be physically demanding and/or carry inherent dangers. You understand that some exercise-based activities may be a risk to your physical health and safety if you do not perform them correctly. You accept that, if a programme exists for the Event you are attending, it is entirely your responsibility to decide whether participation in any activity offered as part of the programme is appropriate to your capabilities, aptitude, fitness and health. If you have any concerns about your capabilities, aptitude, fitness and/or health to participate you should consult with (and follow the recommendations of) a medical professional prior to engaging in any activity. If at any time during any activity you feel unwell or consider that it is unsafe for you to continue, please stop the activity immediately and seek appropriate advice. You also accept that it is entirely your responsibility to observe all health and safety requirements and instructions that you may be given in relation to activities. If you are participating in any activity that is offered virtually for participation in a home or office environment, you should ensure that your environment is safe, provides adequate space and is free of dangerous or hazardous objects and materials.

 

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Capeflow Productions Inc. and all entities within the Capeflow Productions Inc. group (as well as any employees or other representatives of the same) exclude all liability for any loss, injury,or damage whatsoever that you may suffer in connection with or arising from your participation in any activities offered as part of the programme (including, without limitation, any activities held outside of, or incidentally to, the main Event that you are attending), whether direct, indirect, consequential, special, incidental or punitive loss, injury or damage (including, without limitation, injury to persons, property damage, theft, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss or corruption of data or any other type of economic loss, injury or damage) or otherwise. The limitations and exclusions in this paragraph only apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.
